March 3, 2023 - High Wind

Several hours of severe non-thunderstorm winds resulted in numerous damage reports, including downed and uprooted trees, downed powerlines, and roof and other property damage across all of Stewart County. In Dover, a roof was blown off a garage. The Stewart County emergency manager reported that a record number of 911 calls were received for a day as well as power outages across the county. Damages are estimated.

Up to one tenth of an inch of ice accumulated on elevated surfaces across Stewart County, such as trees and power lines, which resulted in some scattered power outages. However, there was no accumulation on roads and no travel impacts.
