March 23, 2009 - Thunderstorm Wind

Thunderstorm winds blew off the roof of a metal building, caused roof damage to homes and businesses, and caused widespread tree damage. The winds also blew down power lines and 10 power poles over a mile and a half stretch just southwest of Hull, causing power outages affecting at least 1,600 electrical customers in and near the towns of Hull and Boyden.

A tornado crossed into Sioux County from Lyon County to the north, where it had caused damage. In Sioux County, the tornado blew down power lines and caused tree damage.
