In Benton County, this tornado moved across the southern portion of Siloam Springs, uprooting numerous trees, damaging homes and businesses, destroying outbuildings, and snapping power poles. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 90 to 100 mph.

This tornado developed on the north side of Siloam Springs. It moved along Highway 412, and then across the southern portion of the Siloam Springs airport, as well as a housing subdivision east of the airport. The roof was blown off a business, many homes and businesses sustained roof damage, several hangars at the airport were damaged, numerous trees were uprooted, and power poles were snapped. The tornado became very large and moved east-northeast from the east side of Siloam Springs. The roof of a wood-framed permanent home was entirely removed, and a large, well-built, wood-framed outbuilding was destroyed on Andria Circle, which are the primary damage indicators that resulted in the EF-2 rating. These structures were on a hill, and nearby hardwood trees were snapped, homes were damaged with windows blown out and roof structures lifted off the frame of the house and set back down. The tornado continued to move east-northeast across Highfill and Cave Springs, and into Rogers. Numerous homes were damaged, outbuildings were destroyed, many power poles were blown down, and numerous trees were uprooted. A metal building structure that was open-aired on the south side sustained severe damage. Businesses in the Pinnacle Hills area of Rogers were damaged. From Rogers, the tornado moved northeast, crossing inlets of Beaver Lake before dissipating. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in the tornado was 110 to 120 mph.

This tornado damaged the roofs of a number of homes, uprooted trees, snapped numerous large tree limbs, and blew down several power poles. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in the tornado was 80 to 85 mph.

This tornado destroyed a double-wide modular home, damaged seven permanent homes, destroyed a metal-framed outbuilding, snapped or uprooted numerous trees, and blew down power poles. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in the tornado was 95 to 105 mph.

The tornado moved northeast across a subdivision snapping or uprooting a number of trees and damaging homes. About 450 yards wide, it then moved across a commercial area on the west side of Rogers where it removed part of the roof of a commercial building, blew large glass windows out of another commercial building, damaged a number of other buildings, snapped or uprooted a number of trees, and snapped power poles. Debris impacted a vehicle, impaling the windshield with a piece of 2x4 wood and shattering several of the windows. Two people were injured by glass and flying debris in the vehicle. Damage in this area indicated the wind speed in the tornado was as much as 90 to 100 mph. ||The tornado then crossed I-540 and went across another subdivision of homes. Many trees were snapped or uprooted and homes were damaged. Tree damage became less concentrated for a bit after the tornado crossed Highway 94, but was intermittently still in the EF-1 category. Damage northeast of Avoca was once again very concentrated with a number of snapped or uprooted trees as well as home and barn damage. It dissipated in the southern portion of the Pea Ridge National Military Park.

The maximum estimated wind speed in this segment of the tornado based on this damage was 125 mph.||The tornado moved northeast and back into Washington County, Arkansas.

Two injuries occurred in the mobile home that was destroyed on Winwood Ranch Road. The maximum estimated wind speed based on this damage was 130 mph.||The tornado continued into Washington County, Arkansas.

Thunderstorm winds estimated at 70 miles an hour blew down trees, power lines, and large tree limbs throughout town. One large tree fell on a mobile home and crushed it. A 15 year old girl was killed in the mobile home and a 10 year old boy was injured by the tree. The wind also destroyed a business and damaged several homes in town.

Thunderstorm winds estimated at 70 miles an hour did significant damage to a storage building and minor damage to two poultry houses. A power pole and power line were also blown down.

Thunderstorm winds estimated at 70 miles an hour produced a ten block wide swath of damage from downtown Rogers to two miles north to Highway 102. Most of the damage was trees trees and power lines blown down and trees falling on buildings and cars.

Wind damage was reported across portions of Benton County during the morning hours of April 24th. Large tree limbs were snapped, shingles were removed from several homes, and power lines were blown down. The high wind seemed to have been supported by an area of dissipating showers that moved through the region. These showers seemed to have helped the downward transport of high wind in the low level jet to the ground.

Arctic air spread across all of northwestern Arkansas on the 20th as a strong storm system developed into the Southern Rockies. Precipitation began to increase across northwestern Arkansas during the evening hours of the 20th and continued through the 21st. Warm air overriding the shallow cold air near the ground resulted in freezing rain across portions of Washington and Benton Counties. Surface temperatures warmed slightly across Washington County changing the freezing rain back to rain there. Portions of western and northern Benton County received about a quarter of an inch of ice in the storm. Scattered power outages and some tree damage occurred across the region. Temperatures warmed slightly above freezing across Benton County during the late morning of the 21st, changing the freezing rain to rain and ending the event.

Arctic air spread into the region ahead of a strong storm system over the desert southwest. Several disturbances translated from the low pressure area across the Southern Plains, resulting in several periods of precipitation, including thunderstorms. Rain began over northwestern Arkansas during the late evening of the 8th but changed to freezing rain during the early morning hours of the 9th. Freezing rain remained the dominant precipitation type for the remainder of the event. Heavy icing on trees, power lines, and other exposed surfaces resulted, especially across western Benton County.
