Aberdeen Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
Straight line winds knocked a tree on to a house on Woodland Heights on the west side of Aberdeen. Trees and power lines were knocked down on Matumba Street in the center of Aberdeen. A tree fell across Old Highway 25 between Aberdeen and Amory.
Straight line winds knocked down trees and power lines just east of Egypt on Egypt Road. Minor damage also occurred to homes along Coontail Road south of Lake Monroe near Aberdeen.
A carport was destroyed. A portion of Spencers Furniture Store's marquee was blown down damaging four vehicles. Over 100 trees and some power lines were blown down.
