The Cherokee County Emergency Manager reported numerous trees and power lines blown down around the Ball Ground area. Several homes and other buildings had trees fall on them and many roads were blocked by downed trees and power lines.

Locations included Pine Creek Way near Pine Creek Circle; Ball Ground Road at Hightower Road; Fincher Road between Setser Trail and Old Fincher Trail; Old Batesville Road near Charles Cox Drive; Batesville Road between Hickory Road and Old Batesville Road; S. McCollum Drive at Univeter Road; S. Jett Road between Cambridge Court and Willow Creek Overlook; Highway 372 just north of Highway 369; Kennett Street at Marietta Road; Northridge Road at Gilmer Ferry Road; Reinhardt College Parkway at Sardis Circle; McCollum Road at Brick Mill Road; P Rickman Industrial Drive near Jackson Street; and Lowry Street at Northridge Road.
The Cherokee County Emergency Manager reported trees blown down around the vicinity of Ball Ground. One tree fell on a house at AW Roberts Drive and Strippling Street. Two trees fell at the intersection of Howell Bridge Road and Old Howell Bridge Road. A tree was down on power lines at the intersection of Cokers Chapel Road and East Cherokee Drive and a fallen tree blocked Northridge Road at Ball Ground Road. A tweet from the public was received reporting nickel sized hail in Ball Ground.
The Cherokee County Emergency Management Director reported that two trees were down just south of Ball Ground, one of which had taken out a power line on Ball Ground Highway. The road had to be closed until the downed power line could be repaired. Another tree was down just north of Holly Springs. This tree also took out a power line and blocked a road.
The Cherokee County Emergency Management Director reported that several trees were down across the county from two miles southwest of Canton, to seven miles southeast of Canton to Ballground in the northern part of the county. Power lines were brought down with the trees in several instances and several roads were blocked as a result. Wind gusts of 49 mph were measured at the Canton Emergency Operations Center at 845 am EDT. All together at least six trees and at least four power lines were downed. A home was damaged two miles southwest of Canton when a large tree fell onto the structure. A large tree was down on power lines in downtown Ballground blocking the road. A large tree was also down on power lines seven miles southeast of Canton blocking a road. Trees were also down on power lines five miles southeast of Canton. Two large trees were down on a power line five miles north of Canton, also blocking the road. Finally, a large tree was down four miles northwest of Canton.
