July 29, 2010 - Thunderstorm Wind

Estimated winds of 60 mph were reported. A light pole at a gas station in Beulah was blown over, along with several trees in the town of Beulah blown down. Blown over trees or branches knocked utility lines to the ground, momentarily disrupting power.

April 2, 2010 - Winter Weather

A strong spring storm system brought several inches of wet snow to mainly eastern portions of Mercer County. The combination of strong winds and the wet snow resulted in damages to electrical utilities, causing scattered power outages across the county. Preliminary damage assessments estimated there was around thirty thousand dollars in damage from this storm for Mercer County.

January 25, 2010 - Blizzard

Wind gusts over 50 mph combined with falling snow and existing loose snow cover to create widespread blizzard conditions across Mercer County. The strong winds and blizzard conditions resulted in additional downed power lines and delayed the repair of existing downed power lines.

January 22, 2010 - Winter Storm

A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow spread north across the local area. Precipitation eventually changed over to all snow, with up to five inches of accumulations reported by early Saturday morning. Hazardous travel conditions and continued power outages resulted.

January 18, 2010 - Winter Weather

A prolonged period of freezing fog along with periods of freezing drizzle resulted in moderate to heavy ice accumulations on power lines. This caused numerous overhead power lines and power poles to snap, resulting in widespread power outages across the county which lasted for several days in some areas.
