Also, a part of a large tree was snapped and brought down some power lines due to strong thunderstorm wind gusts.
Episodes
A record breaking low pressure system impacted Indiana on March 3rd initially bringing rain and strong to damaging gradient winds to the area. During the early afternoon hours, a weakening area of storms moved into southern Indiana and caused isolated damaging winds gusts while the gradient winds continued to gradually increase causing additional tree damage and power outages. Across northern Indiana, rain then transitioned to snow with light but non-impactful accumulations. Peak power outages across the state were briefly over 40,000 with much of them along the Ohio River where the thunderstorm winds were more widespread.
A deep, occluded mid-latitude storm system tracking north-northeastward from the Quad Cities area, featured a strengthening upper-level wave. The wave's negatively-tilting trough axis created a strong wind field about 1 mile above the surface at the 850 millibar pressure level. This caused generally 50-60 mph wind gusts at the surface across central Indiana during mainly morning and midday hours on the 5th. The strongest, isolated wind gusts reached 58-65 mph, mainly across Tippecanoe County and Clinton County. Isolated damage reports were led by several counties east of Indianapolis that each reported multiple downed trees and/or numerous power outages.
Scattered thunderstorms developed across portions of central Indiana during the afternoon hours of June 1st. As these storms pushed generally south or south-southeast, a few of them downed trees, limbs, power lines across locations south of Interstate 70. One of the strong thunderstorms moved across Monroe Lake and a 26-year-old man that was swimming in the lake drowned as the wind and the rain kicked up.
A few severe thunderstorms, including one powerful supercell, moved mainly southern portions of central Indiana on 7 June 2006. The supercell produced a tornado in eastern Jackson county. This tornado took an unusual path from north to south.
A very strong bow echo moved from north to south across west central and southwest Indiana on the afternoon and evening of 13 July 2004, with measured winds as high as 72 mph reported. Very widespread wind damage occurred with the bow echo, with a large amount of damage to trees, power lines, and utility poles. Some structural damage occurred as well.

power out in bloomington
No power . I live in Bloomington, Ca on 11th street and it is very hot. It’s 7/11 at 2:46 AM.
March 18th 2020 no power So-cal.
I live in Bloomington ca. Had a feeling power would go out since my wife just bought a huge supply of food for the refrigerator and freezer in my back patio to stock up for the coronavirus emergency. Power went out 2:36 a.m. 3/15/2020 It's been almost 2 hours. I'm sure our food is spoiling. I'm sure this will happen much more often since the wicked powers that be will want us to not be prepared as we need to be. In the last days as many worse things will happen in our near future. King Jesus and his followers wins in the end.
How long will the light be out.
