Bridgewater Power Outages Caused by Weather

Rockingham County 911 Center reported approximately 12 large trees and numerous power lines were downed throughout the county due to strong gradient wind gusts.
Trained spotters reported significant ice accretion resulting in numerous accidents, downed trees and power lines, and power outages throughout the county.
Trees blew down onto power lines near the intersection of VA-619 Phillips Store Road/Wampler Road and VA-259 Maryland Road. Trees and wires blew down near the intersection of VA-259 Maryland Road and VA-873 Wentworth Drive. A piece of tin roof was ripped off a barn on VA-619 Wampler Road.
Numerous trees and power lines were blown down in the 2500 block of Flook Lane.
Numerous trees were blown down in the 500 block of Arkton Road. A tree blew down on Koontz Corner Road. A metal roof on a home was struck by lightning, split, and then blew into power lines starting a fire.
