Brodhead Power Outages Caused by Weather

The Green County Emergency Manager reported $100,000 of damage from severe thunderstorm winds 4 miles southwest of Brodhead. The damage included 2 barns/sheds with one losing it's roof to the powerful winds. The severe winds peeled siding off of one home, and broke windows and pushed in the door on another home.
The Green County Emergency Manager reported trees down; power lines down and 1 home damaged in a 20-mile wide swath from near Jordan Center to north of Brodhead due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 65 knots (75 mph). Corn crops, valued at $2.2 million, were also flattened. Ludlow Bar in Monroe lost part of their roof. Wind gusts of 62 mph (54 knots) were measured by the AWOS at Mineral Point Airport at 656 am CDT and by a trained spotter in Brodhead at 658 am CDT.
In the Brodhead area, powerful thunderstorm winds uprooted a few dozen trees and broken branches fell on and snapped several power lines.
County sheriff deputies reported trees and power lines were blown down by the strong thunderstorm gusts.
