Xcel Energy: Total of 50k impacted by power outages | KVII
Winter weather is causing power outages across the Texas panhandle. CLICK HERE to see the interactive radar. Xcel Energy reported a total of about 50,000 customers impacted in Texas and New Mexico by thepower outages throughout the day. The company said most of those have had their power restored by Tuesday afternoon. However, there were about 9,000 customers across the Texas Panhandle without power with around 7,000 of those being in the Amarillo metro area, as of about 4 p. m.
