A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph downed multiple trees and powerlines on Sandbank Rd, Pine St, and across Dickinson Township.

Gusty west winds (40mph) following a cold frontal passage knocked down a single tree from a steep embankment across the 3800 block of Lisburn Road in Cumberland County. The tree brought down power lines and struck a truck that was traveling southbound on Lisburn Road. There were two occupants in the truck, one of whom was killed by the falling tree.

Thunderstorm winds estimated near 60 mph downed trees, wires and power poles in South Middlesex Township near Old Stonehouse/Hickory Road and Ridge Drive. Severe winds also caused minor to moderate damage to 3-4 homes in the same area.

Non-thunderstorm wind gusts between 55 and 65 mph toppled numerous trees and power lines across Cumberland County, especially in western part of the county outside of Carlisle. Downed utility poles closed U.S. Route 11/15 at the Summerdale Plaza in East Pennsboro Township. The high winds also caused isolated power outages.
