Widespread tree and powerline damage was reported in Carpentersville. A few trees were snapped. The worst of the damage was east of the Fox River between Route 68 and Route 62.

Several whole trees were uprooted in Carpentersville along with numerous healthy 6 inch diameter tree limbs blown down. Fire crews responded to 14 reports of power lines blown down. One of these power lines started a fire in a detached garage on Golfview Lane. A tree fell onto a roof of a house on Wakefield Drive, leaving the house uninhabitable.

STILL WAITING FOR POWER SINCE MONDAY, ANY IDEA OF WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED. I HAVE ANIMALS IT IS TO HOT FOR THEM. ALSO I HAVE OVER $900.00 WORTH OF FOOD THAT IS ALREADY SPOILED. IVE CONTACTED YOU TWICE ALREADY AND NOONE SEEMS TO ANSWER.
