Several hours of non-thunderstorm high winds led to numerous reports of damage across Clay County, including downed trees and limbs, downed powerlines, and roof damage. Damages are estimated.

CoCoRaHS station Red Boiling Spring 6.7 NNE measured 0.3 inches of ice accretion. Due to temperatures remaining below freezing, ice accumulated on all surfaces including trees, power lines, and roads. A few power lines were knocked down resulting in scattered power outages.||Freezing rain changed to snow around 7am on January 22, with snow totals between 7 and 10 inches measured across Clay County. CoCoRaHS station Red Boiling Spring 6.7 NNE measured 9.1 inches of snow, while CoCoRaHS station Celina 2.4 SSW measured 7.8 inches of snow.

An EF0 tornado touched down in Cumberland County KY along Ashlock Road and moved southeast, crossing the border into Clay County TN along Poindexter Road. The tornado continued southeast along Ashlock Road before lifting near Highway 53. A few homes suffered roof damage and several outbuildings were damaged or destroyed. Numerous trees and power lines were blown down along the path. Maximum winds were estimated at 80 mph. The total path length for the tornado in KY and TN was 1.5 miles.

Power lines and two trees were blown down on Buzzard Lane and Turkey Town Road.

A CoCoRaHS observer measured 1.0 of snow 6.7 miles NNE of Red Boiling Springs, with an unknown amount of sleet and ice. Several trees and power lines were knocked down. Clay County was declared a Presidential disaster area on April 2, 2015.

Widespread wind damage occurred in Celina with roof and siding damage to some homes. One downtown business had its roof blown off and front doors blown in. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted with power lines blown down.

A home received roof damage on Old Highway 53 east of Celina. Multiple trees were also blown down in the area and a subdivision was without power.

Icy roads occurred across the county due to ice accumulations from freezing rain of two tenths of an inch with both primary and secondary roads with accidents reported.|Also, scattered power outages and tree limbs were downed across the county too due to these ice accumulations. Specific details concerning how many, amount and type of damage, associated repair costs, and if any injuries occurred, associated with these accidents, were unknown.
