Flash Flood. Numerous storms with heavy rain produced high water, road closures and washouts in the northern Colorado Springs metro area. Intersections along Powers Blvd. and Marksheffel Road also flooded, as did other others in northern Colorado Springs. In the Falcon area, rainfalls of more than 3 inches in an hour produced serious flooding of roadways and houses. Pinto Pony Road was washed out southeast of Falcon. Several roads around Falcon remained closed for days after the water subsided.
