Cohutta Power Outages Caused by Weather

The Whitfield County 911 Center reported that several, probably at least a dozen, trees and power lines were down across the northern end of the county between Cohutta and Beaverdale.
The Whitfield County 911 Center reported that two trees were down, one near Cohutta and another near Dalton, as thunderstorms moved through the county. The tree near Cohutta also brought down a power line when it fell.
The Whitfield County 911 Center reported that one tree was blown down onto a power line near Cohutta.
WRCB Television of Chattanooga reported that an apparent microburst or downburst blew down several trees in the extreme northern part of the county. Two chicken houses lost their roofs as a result of the damaging wind gusts. Some power lines were also down in the area.
