Floyd County Public Schools closed Friday due to power outage | WSET
Floyd County Public Schools will be closed Friday. The school district posted to Facebook to make the announcement, citing continued power outages. According to Appalachian Power, in the area of Copper Hill, an outage began Thursday around 8 a. m. that was caused by a tree. TRENDING TODAY:CDC to significantly ease pandemic mask guidelines Friday. There are just over 1000 without power in that area. Right now, the estimated power restoration time is 1 p. m. Friday.
