Thunderstorm winds caused damage on Tucson's northwest side from about Ina and Shannon Roads westward to just east of I-10 and Cortaro Rd. A power pole was downed on Camino De Oeste near Barque Dr. while numerous trees were downed elsewhere, some of which subsequently caused damage to cars, fences, retaining walls and parking structures.
A power pole was knocked down near the intersection of Camino de Oeste and Lambert Lane.
Thunderstorms winds in Marana downed numerous trees from the Dove Mountain Community to Continental Reserve. A few trees were downed on homes with only minor damage sustained to roofs. What Causes Power Outages?
- Severe weather (high winds, lightning, winter storms, heat waves, rain or flooding can cause damage to power lines or equipment);

What are the Top Outage Safety Tips?
- Stay away from the downed power lines, park vehicles in protected areas;
- Unplug appliances and electronics, limit cell phone use to conserve battery life;
