June 26, 2018 - Thunderstorm Wind

A microburst produced a long swath of damaging winds across far northern Posey County. The swath was as much as two miles wide in places. Several corn fields were blown down, with the stalks broken in some areas. Hundreds of trees were broken or uprooted, and several power lines were down. Widespread tree damage occurred along Interstate 64 near the Black River rest area. Some small sheds and signs were damaged. The 25-mile long microburst continued across southern Gibson County, where it became more intense and damaging.

May 25, 2011 - Tornado

The tornado started north of St. Wendell, where trees were damaged along with a machine shed. As it moved across Highway 65, high-tension power lines were taken down. Peak winds were estimated near 125 mph. The tornado continued moving northeast into Vanderburgh County.
