There were around 100 power outages reported in the city of Darlington and just outside of the city.
Power lines were reported down along E Billy Farrow Highway about a half mile west of U.S. 52.
Power lines were reportedly down on North Main Street. The time was estimated by radar.
Power lines were blown down, and one pole was snapped. Further east, more telephone poles were down, along with a penny size hail.

A wreck in the area of East Carolina Avenue in Hartsville has led to power outages in the community affecting about 63 homes. Duke Energy is reporting that “the outage was caused by a vehicle damaging our equipment. ” TRENDING:Troopers investigating crash in Darlington County. The outage was first reported at 5 a. m. Wednesday morning. Power is expected to be restored by 10:15 a. m.
