Strong thunderstorm winds downed a power pole part-way in Derby during the predawn hours on the 30th. The pole had to be replaced, and some relatively minor damaged was sustained to neighboring businesses due to electrical wire tension from the leaning pole. The Derby Informer contributed to this report.
