Two miles south of Erwin snow depth was estimated at four inches. Trees and power lines were reported down across the county due to the weight of the snow.

The Erwin newspaper reported utility crews replaced power poles from trees falling on them from the high wind in the Erwin area.

Strong gradient associated with a cold front produced sustained winds of 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph across the higher elevations of east Tennessee. A tree fell on a mobile home in Cosby in Cocke County. 12 homes were damaged in the Camp Creek and Greystone communities in Greene County.
