The emergency manager reported of trees and power lines down in Eunice.
Lightning hit a power pole early in the morning of the 23rd near a Eunice business. The surge caused mostly cosmetic damage to the structure, however the surge burned the circuit breaker box and meter resulting in a brief electrical fire.
A tree was blown onto power lines near the intersection of Elm and 3rd Streets in Eunice during a storm.
Widespread wind damage was reported in Eunice. Numerous trees were blown down, and some of these trees fell on homes and cars. Several roofs were damaged and one mobile home was destroyed when it rolled over. Several power poles were blown down, and power was out in the entire city.
