A female student was burned by a piece of power transformer on top of a pole that was struck by lightning. Pieces of the shattered transformer flew through an open window on a school bus and landed on the student's leg.
Severe thunderstorms blew down numerous trees and power lines and severely damaged the roof and a large door at a car dealership in Eustis. Trees also fell on a pickup truck.
