Thunderstorm winds blew down several power lines at the intersection of Highway 8 and Harmon Road. Also, several large tree limbs were blown down on the southwest side of Park Hills.

In Park Hills and Bonne Terre, large trees were blown over onto houses causing moderate roof damage. Otherwise, numerous tree limbs as well as several large trees and power poles were blown down in Farmington, Desloge and Leadwood. No injuries were reported.

Episodes
A severe thunderstorm caused scattered wind damage across the central part of St. Francois County. Trees and power lines were reported down by local law enforcement in Leadwood, Park Hills, and Desloge. A few homes in Desloge suffered minor roof damage from broken tree limbs.
A line of severe thunderstorms caused scattered wind damage from Desloge south to Farmington. A few large trees and several large limbs were downed in Desloge blocking streets. The story was similar in Bonne Terre and the west parts of Farmington where downed trees and limbs blocked several streets. A couple of cars in Farmington were damage by downed limbs. Power was out throughout the area.
Lightning was believed to be the cause of a fire at the Presbyterian Manor residential facility. The fire was limited to some insulation and trusses in the attic but the strike also damaged the telephone and computer system. In Farmington, thunderstorm wind gusts downed scattered large tree limbs and power lines.
Local officials reported scattered trees and power lines down in Bonne Terre, Desloge and Park Hills. Over 2000 people were still without power by the next morning.
A sudden severe thunderstorms downed trees, billboards, power lines, traffic lights and damaged vehicles across the northwest part of Farmington. Fourteen new cars and trucks were damaged at an automobile dealership by the storm. Residents reported broken windows, damaged roofs, and siding.
