Power Outage in Orange City, FL

Tropical Storm. Hurricane Ian's slow movement and large wind field led to a long period of tropical storm force winds in Volusia County. Scattered reports of trees and power lines downed, as well as generally minor damage to roofs, awnings, fences, and pool enclosures due to strong winds, which surface observations indicated peaked between 60 and 70 mph across inland areas.

Thunderstorm Wind. City of DeLand officials and fire rescue report that several old trees had large branches knocked down into power lines on Garfield Avenue, just north of Minnesota Avenue. These branches blocked the roadways and damaged nine power lines.
