Freezing rain fell. A trained spotter in Readington Twp reported 0.08 inches of radial ice accretion. Some higher amounts, up to around a quarter inch, likely occurred, and isolated power outages were reported in the county.

Strong northwest winds with gusts to over 60 MPH occurred on March 2nd and 3rd. This led to widespread damage to trees and power lines, which in turn induced extensive power outages across the region. At one point more than 29,000 customers were without power in Hunterdon County. A wind gust of 71 MPH was reported by a trained spotter in Lebanon at 1800EST on March 2nd. A downed tree closed a ramp onto I-78 in Clinton Township. Heavy rainfall occurred over west-central New Jersey on March 1st and 2nd, with widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches. Areal and minor small stream flooding occurred.

A severe thunderstorm tore down large tree limbs and wires in southern Hunterdon County. The combination of the winds and lightning caused about 1,000 Jersey Central Power and Light homes and businesses to lose power in Hunterdon and Warren Counties.

A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage across Hunterdon County, hitting the central part of the county the hardest in Alexandria, Franklin and Clinton Townships. Ten people suffered minor injuries at the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Readington Township when tents were toppled and debris struck them. In Alexandria Township, the roof of a barn was torn away and a shed was totally damaged. Tree damage occurred in Clinton along New Jersey State Route 31 and County Route 929. About 5,000 homes and businesses lost power.

A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage across Hunterdon County from Bloomsbury Borough east through Readington Township. A National Weather Service storm survey concluded that the worst wind damage occurred in Bethlehem Township where wind gusts were estimated to reach 70 mph. The hardest hit areas in the township were near the intersection of Rounsville and White Roads as well as Trush Lane. Numerous trees were uprooted and snapped. Dozens of trees were uprooted on one property. Minor damage occurred to a couple of homes as trees fell on them. A fallen tree also damaged a swimming pool and vehicle. In Tewksbury Township, County Routes 517 and 523 were closed. The Oldwick Section of the township completely lost power. About 10,000 homes and businesses lost power in the county, power was fully restored the evening of the 8th. ||

In addition to the flash flooding, an approaching cold front triggered thunderstorms that caused isolated wind damage as well as power outages in New Jersey on the 28th. About 3,000 Atlantic City Electric customers lost power.

A potent thunderstorm rolled through portions of Hunterdon County, NJ during the early evening hours of July 21st. As a result of strong winds produced by the thunderstorm, numerous trees and power lines were knocked down in Delaware Township at 7:20 PM EDT.

A line of severe thunderstorms produced wind damage in Delaware Township, Flemington Borough, High Bridge Borough and Readington Township. In Delaware Township, wind damage occurred on the same block that a tornado moved through on September 25th. A barn was destroyed and a nearby roof from an outbuilding was torn away. About 600 homes and businesses lost power in the county and it was totally restored the morning of the 28th.

While the tornado lifted farther southwest in Hunterdon County, a line of severe thunderstorms produced straight line wind damage in Readington Township. More than 25 large trees were knocked down in the township. About 8,000 homes and businesses lost power in the county.

A severe thunderstorm knocked down numerous trees throughout Hunterdon County and hit municipalities from Lambertville City northeast to Flemington Borough the hardest. There were numerous power outages and several roads were blocked by fallen trees or large limbs in Delaware, Kingwood, Lebanon and Raritan Townships. Two downed trees were also supported by wires along U.S. Route 22 in Clinton Township. The thunderstorms also spewed golf ball size hail onto Flemington.

The southern edge of a potent line of severe thunderstorms knocked down several large tree limbs and power lines in Hampton Borough. Several outages were caused because of the downed wires. Wind and wire damage was more widespread farther north in Warren and Sussex Counties. New Jersey Central Power and Light reported about 20,000 of its customers lost power in northwest New Jersey because of the severe storms.

Readington Township was hit the hardest. Also hit hard were Alexandria Township, Holland Township and Milford Borough. In Frenchtown Borough, the elementary school opening was pushed back five days in September because the wind that night tore away the protective covering on the gymnasium's roof. The subsequent heavy rain inundated the gymnasium. Downed trees and wires caused power outages which lasted up to 24 hours in the county.

A severe thunderstorm hammered Hunterdon County during the late afternoon of the 27th. Wind damage was reported in Bethlehem, Delaware, Raritan, Readington, Tewksbury and Union Townships. In Readington Township, a church steeple was toppled by the wind and fell through the roof leaving a 30 foot hole in the church. In addition, water damage occurred as heavy rain fell. In Union Township, the metal roof of a barn was torn away. In Raritan Township, two homes and one vehicle were damaged by fallen trees. In Franklin Township, numerous trees were knocked down in the same direction in the Quakertown section. Roads were closed by downed trees in Delaware Township. The heavy rain caused a mudslide that closed the intersection of 643 and 173 in Bethlehem Township. Jersey Central Power and Light reported about 11,000 of its customers lost power with Hunterdon County the hardest hit.

All power was restored by the 5th.
