Follansbee Coke Plant experiences power outage | WTOV
A fire broke out at the Mountain State Carbon plant around 5:30 p. m. , according to Follansbee Fire Chief Larry Rea. Rea has also confirmed there were no injuries to plant workers or firefighters through the duration of the fire. He says the fire began as a result of a power outage. The outage, forcing machinery off and taking the ability to control the pressure of gas from employees. Crews were on scene shortly after the call fighting the fire.
