A tornado was reported on the ground by the general public. Power lines were snapped by the torndo but no significant damage was reported. Nickel size hail was also reported.

The Frostproof fire department reported that thunderstorm winds downed a few large branches and a couple of power lines along Old State Road 8 near the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Avon Park Cut-Off Road over rural southeast Polk county.
