A gust front and a line of strong thunderstorms knocked down several trees and caused numerous power outages in Abington, Glenside, and nearby areas at 7:47 p.m. EDT on the evening of the 7th. PECO reported approximately 4,500 customers without power, with 4,463 of those outages being reported in Abington and Glenside.
