October 26, 2019 - Thunderstorm Wind

There was damage to numerous trees and power lines across the county. There was minor structural damage to some roofs as well. A total of 88 downed trees and 19 damaged structures were reported to the county's central dispatch office. The hardest hit areas included Drakesboro, Beechmont, and Greenville.

Trees and power lines were blown down in Greenville. Several large limbs were down on U.S. Highway 62 between Powderly and Greenville.

A swath of damaging thunderstorm winds passed south of Greenville. Four miles southwest of Greenville, several trees were uprooted and the roof was completely torn off a metal building. Two miles southeast of Greenville, a metal carport was destroyed. The carport was thrown into a nearby house. There was minimal damage to the house. Two trees were uprooted a couple miles south of Greenville. Much of Greenville was without power.
