Severe thunderstorms across western Montana produced wind damage in portions of southwest Montana. Trees were toppled and power lines knocked down with a few properties reporting damage.
Strong early afternoon storms struck Western Montana. Power poles were reported downed by strong winds near Garrison. Penny sized hail also fell over Darby.
Severe thunderstorms with strong winds blew down power lines and started numerous fires in Hamilton during the evening hours. Trees were also blown down onto Sula Peak Road.
A strong thunderstorm moved north along the eastern edge of the Bitterroot Valley near Hamilton, producing one inch diameter hailand gusty winds which downed power lines.

Last night's performance of HAMILTON was cancelled due to a power outage at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Crews from Ameren were on site tonight and the power was restored about 8:55 p.m.
