Numerous power poles were blown down by the high wind.
Five miles of power poles, or around 80, were blown down by the high wind along US Highway 156.
Widespread tree and power pole damage was reported in Hanston. There were also outbuildings damaged. The damage extended well south of Hanston. There were 106 power poles down in approximately a 10 mile radius south & west of Hanston. There were 6 of the bigger H poles that were also blown down. Various other wind damage reports in the county included water tanks that were missing, a windmill (smaller private, not big commercial) that was damaged, and a shed that was damaged.
