Haskell Power Outages Caused by Weather

The Haskell Sheriff's office reported a sign at the Kent Kwik Convenience Store being blown into a power line and knocking out power. The Haskell Mesonet reported a max wind gust of 54 mph.
The Haskell fire department reported a travel trailer blown over, part of a roof torn off of a high school, and several power poles snapped, along U.S. Highway 277 between Haskell and Stamford.
A West Texas Mesonet located in Weinert measured a sustained wind in excess of 40 mph multiple times. According to Big Country Electric Cooperative, 100 power poles were downed by the high winds and the weight of the ice on the power lines.
Numerous trees and power lines blown down. The radio station in Haskell measured a 89 MPH wind gust.
