Hoxie Power Outages Caused by Weather

Power poles and trees were down along County Roads 701 and 716 and State Hwy. 91. Structure damage was noted along County Road 701.
Straight line winds knocked numerous limbs down in Hoxie. One power pole was also pushed partway over. In addition, a small metal building was destroyed and gutters were torn from a house.
A tree fell on a mobile home. A roof over a softball dugout at Hoxie school was damaged. Several power lines and street signs were blown down.

Nearly 1,200 Entergy Arkansas customers were without power Thursday after a transformer blew in the Walnut Ridge area, according to authorities.
