A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph snapped power poles along Route 26 south of Pine Grove Mills.
Snow changed to freezing rain during the afternoon on the 26th and resulted in significant winter weather impacts during the pre-Thanksgiving holiday travel. These included multiple vehicle accidents, road closures, downed trees/wires and power outages. A prolonged period of freezing rain produced ice accumulations between 0.25 and 0.50 inch by nightfall.
High winds knocked down several trees with widespread power outages reported county-wide. Several homes sustained minor to moderate damage.

Power pole was ripped from my house during the storm. Trees down and took lines down all the way to road. No power now for at least 3 hours. All down Northwood Dr. Huntingdon I see them fixing the main on the road but doubt they run the lines back to my house. Dispatch won't answer due to the wide spread outage.
