Vandals caused power outage in Jasper Monday night, says power company | WTVC
A momentary power outage happened for many Jasper, Tennessee residents last night, says the Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC). The outage started around 7:30 p. m. CDT, lasting for two hours and impacting over 300 homes and businesses in the Anderson Ridge and Baptist Hill areas. Vandals cut a strand vice (hardware attached to a guy wire that supports a utility pole) causing the pole to lean and wires to touch.
