Haven’t had electricity since 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon. Can see that the arm on the transformer is tripped. Can we expect crews to come fix the transformer? Nothing is coming on until that is done. Have noticed some close by are getting back on line but not us.

Out of power since Monday's morning 4pm . This is unbelievable and inhumane we're under 40° inside for the las 30 hours then a plus of no water this morning what's going on?

I am in Mason Lakes off Clay Road and I have been without power since late Sunday evening. Rarely cell phone usage. It is 34 inside my house. Get the power back on now.

Haven’t had any electricity since 2am on Monday. It’s freezing outside and 48 degrees inside my house. Pipes are frozen, so there’s also no water. Most of the food in the fridge/freezer is spoiled or will be soon.

We live in a hotel off Katy freeway and Mason Rd. How in the HELL do businesses like Woodrow's (who isn't even open btw) have electricity but we don't???? We're literally on the same block.

Power Outage FAQs

What is Power Outage?

Power outage (also called a power cut, a power blackout, power failure or a blackout) is a short-term or a long-term loss of the electric power to a particular area.

What Causes Power Outages?

  • Severe weather (high winds, lightning, winter storms, heat waves, rain or flooding can cause damage to power lines or equipment);
  • Other damage to electric transmission lines (vehicle accidents, trees, and animals can cause damage to power lines or equipment);
  • Repairing, maintenance or upgrades on power lines and equipment.

What are the Top Outage Safety Tips?

  • Stay away from the downed power lines, park vehicles in protected areas;
  • Unplug appliances and electronics, limit cell phone use to conserve battery life;
  • Use portable generators outdoors only, well away from open windows and doors;
  • Pack perishable foods into a cooler, keep refrigerator and freezer doors shut as much as possible.
