Kemp Power Outages Caused by Weather

Straight line winds blew out windows on 6 cars at the Kemp ISD Administration Building, damaged buildings and downed power poles and large trees up to 4 feet in diameter. Several large trees were snapped at the cemetery. At Kemp High School, the air conditioning units on the roof were damaged and the ceiling was torn off the band hall. The power was knocked out in several places in Kemp.
High thunderstorm winds caused damage to the roofs of a few homes. Trees were blown down onto cars and mobile homes. Other trees and power lines were also blown down.
