Kokomo Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
High gradient winds downed a tree into power lines and across a road at 1610 North Bell Street in Kokomo. Winds also downed power lines at the intersection of County Roads 250 North and 300 East.
An estimated 12-18 inch diameter tree was blown down into the road due to thunderstorm wind gusts. Live power lines were also downed at the 4000 block of Sycamore St.
Trees and power poles downed due to thunderstorm wind gusts on the north end of Kokomo.
Numerous tree limbs were knocked down across the county due to non-thunderstorm wind gusts. At least 812 homes were without power at one point during the event.
An estimated 60 mph thunderstorm wind gust was observed in this location. There were multiple reports of trees and power lines down across Kokomo and Howard County due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts. Some trees were down on vehicles.
