A squall line of severe thunderstorms knocked down several trees and tree limbs as it moved across Monroe County. About 140 homes lost power. Hardest hit were Eldred Township, Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg. In Stroudsburg, a 60 foot tall tree damaged two gravestones in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.
