High Wind. Most of Floyd County's damage reports were confined to structural damage. At 12:45 PM EDT, roofing material was reported to have blown off a business in the city of Martin. Then at 3:00 PM, pictures on social media showed a building, including apartments on the top floor, missing the roof and back wall. No one was injured. Several other pictures came in throughout the day showing a traffic jam on KY-80 due to downed power lines, a large pine tree on the powerlines at Jenny Wiley, and another large pine tree on a powerline near Copperas Lick.

High Wind. Numerous reports of wind damage were received in Floyd County during this event from multiple different sources. These reports include:|At 8:15 PM EST - The Department of Highway crews responded to downed trees along KY-1428 in the city of Martin, just past the ARH Hospital, near mile marker 1.|At 8:45 PM EST - A NWS Employee reported a few shingles having been blown off a residence, 1 mile E of Dotson. |At 8:45 PM EST - A NWS Employee reported a tree blown down and resting on a utility line, 2 miles ENE of Dotson.|At 8:45 PM EST - The utility company in Floyd County reported that trees were blown down and a power pole was broken on Hollybush Branch Road, 1 mile S of Dock. |At 8:50 PM EST - A public report was made from Allen City on social media, citing that siding was blown off of a residence. |At 10:30 PM EST - The Department of Highways reported that KY-194, at the mouth of Click Rock, was impassable due to power lines and poles down across the road.
