May 28, 2013 - Thunderstorm Wind

Law enforcement officials reported widespread tree damage across much of La Porte county. In addition, power poles were blown down along US-421, north of Lacrosse.

Emergency management officials reported trees and power lines down causing U.S. 421 to be closed between U.S. 30 and State Route 8. Two residences also suffered damage from the high winds.

Eight power poles stretching approximately a half mile, were blown over or snapped along US 421 south of Lacrosse. One of these poles landed on a car, minor damage. Numerous trees and tree limbs were also reported down.
