With large scale forcing increasing ahead of the upper trough, isolated showers and thunderstorms developed over portions of Northwest Louisiana during the afternoon and evening, with one storm briefly becoming severe over Northern Bossier Parish, where damaging winds downed trees and power lines near Plain Dealing.
