June 28, 2018 - Thunderstorm Wind

Widespread damaging winds occurred across the county. Numerous trees and power lines were down. Near Burna, several trees were uprooted on Highway 60 near the intersection of Highway 135. Seven miles east of Smithland, a damage survey conducted by NWS personnel confirmed several large trees were snapped or uprooted by winds near 75 mph. Wooden building materials were scattered across the front yard of a residence.

May 27, 2017 - Thunderstorm Wind

A number of trees and power lines were blown down in northern Livingston County. About a mile northeast of Lola, roofing material was blown off a garage, and a utility pole was snapped. Kentucky Highways 133 and 838 were blocked by downed tree limbs and power lines in the Lola area. Kentucky Highway 1436 was partially blocked near Joy.

Kentucky Highway 453 was restricted to one lane at the intersection of Highway 1889 due to several downed trees and power lines. The county rescue squad and area fire departments assisted with clearing trees from a number of roadways.
