Numerous trees across the downtown portions of Lee's Summit were snapped when strong winds came through the area. The swath of wind carried at least through the shopping centers along Highway 291 North. Numerous trees in the Lee's Summit Cemetery were down, and power was out to the business along the Highway through most of the day.
Trees and powerlines were reported down, around the 2400 block of Lees Summit Road.
