Logansport Power Outages Caused by Weather

The local electric company reported a tree was blown down into power lines.
The public reported a tree of unknown size fell onto power lines.
Logansport, Cass County Airport, reported a 55 mph wind gust during the 7 AM hour. Frequent gusts of 40 to 50 mph from west and northwest were observed into the early afternoon. These wind gusts resulted in instances of tree damage and subsequent power outages.

Periods of freezing rain with temperatures near freezing accumulated to between 0.10 and 0.20 across the area on New Year's Day, mainly during the morning and early afternoon hours. This led to a few reports of tree limbs down and spotty power outages across the region. There were also reports of a few car accidents as roads were slick in spots.
