The ASOS in London, Kentucky, located at the London-Corbin Airport, reported the highest wind gust in eastern Kentucky, observing 70 mph at 6:21 PM EST. It's no surprise that mutlple damage reports were received throughout the county as well. ||These reports include:|At 1:00 PM EST - A trained spotter reported that trees and powerlines were blown down 1 mile SSW of the London-Corbin Airport. |At 6:15 PM EST - A public report was received of a tree that had been blown down near a home in East Bernstadt. |At 7:30 PM EST - The same trained spotter called back to report more pine trees had been blown down, and there was a large area without power 4 miles S of London.
Trees were blown down onto power lines in the 2600 block of Hawk Creek Road, as well as the 200 block of John R. Jones Road.

NWS Storm Survey, along with pictures on social media, show multiple downed trees, shingle damage, and downed power lines along Hawk Creek, Found Hubbard, and PL Hubbard Roads due to straight line winds. Peak gusts were estimated between 65 and 70 mph.
Episodes
A strong low pressure system and attendant robust cold front approached eastern Kentucky during the overnight and early morning hours of December 17th into the 18th. This caused high wind gusts preceding the front, while severe wind gusts occurred as thunderstorms moved in. Sporadic damage was reported through the night due to these powerful winds.
Isolated severe thunderstorms downed trees, limbs, and caused power outages across portions of eastern Kentucky during the overnight hours of June 27, 2013.
A thunderstorm wind gust of 60 miles per hour was reported at London near the intersection of Highway 192 and Interstate 75. A thunderstorm wind gust of 58 miles per hour was also measured by the London ASOS at the London Corbin Airport. Dozens of trees and numerous power lines were reported down along Highway 229, near Levi Jackson Wilderness area. Some slight structural damage was reported to buildings near the state park.
