In Madison, a tree was blown down and blocked both lanes of Pond Fork Road. Adjacent power lines were damaged and began smoking.
Power lines fell down onto a residence in King Avenue. The occupant in the house was asked to shelter in place until the utility company could safely remove the power lines. Other areas of the county also observed trees and power line damage, resulting in over 11,000 homes to be without power.
Numerous areas within the county observed a singular downed trees with a few power lines blown down as well.
Trees blew down onto power lines in the town of Sylvester, knocking out power to nearby residences.
Two power poles along Tony's Branch Road were downed after trees fell on the lines.
