Law enforcement officials reported damage from severe thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 65 knots (75 mph) in an 8-mile wide swath from southwest of Blue Mounds to east of McFarland. The damaging winds downed numerous trees and power lines, with 1000 customers left without power in the Madison area.
