Power lines were knocked down across the county. As the morning progressed, the severity worsened with damage to trees and power lines reported countywide. In Lindsborg, a 4-inch diameter limb was taken down along with power lines.
Freezing rain was reported in and around Lindsborg where accumulations had begun on trees. That evening, power outages had occurred in parts of Moundridge. Glazing occurred on elevated surfaces, including vehicles in and around McPherson as well as in other parts of the county. Several power lines were downed in McPherson and across the county.
Winds of 40 mph and gusts to near 60 mph occurred across the county causing minor issues with trees and power lines.
